It is a very timeless fragrance with refreshing spicy and warm woody notes.
This men’s fragrance exudes masculinity. It’s hard to describe, but I’d say a wood and leather combination that’s very masculine. Continues strong but settles down quickly and lingers for hours without being overbearing. It’s manly, clean, woody, with a twist that sets it apart from most lavender-based fragrances, lots of lavender and burnt wood (and it’s wonderful), with some pepper and a touch of musk.
Then once it dries, it basically becomes a mix of the two for me. So take the Eau des Baux, remove the vanilla and incense, and replace it with lavender, which is what I smell. Tonka bean and woody notes are still clearly discernible.
Lavender is pretty linear after going through, but if you’re looking for a newer scent that’s a little heavier, this might be your thing.
Value for money. I would recommend it to those who are new to fragrances, and to men who want to try a lavender fragrance that is still masculine and that others love.
