This stuff is amazing!
The Shea Intensive Hand Balm is packaged in a standard cardboard box from L’Occitane with all the necessary information written on the outside. Inside the box is an elegant, huge white tube with a matte finish. It and the plastic screw cap have the same shape as the Shea Butter Hand Cream. The blue cap is thin and angular, so it’s hard to screw it back on once your hands are wet. Slight inconvenience, does not spoil the lip balm itself.
It’s a thick, rich hydrating lip balm with 25% Shea Butter that feels like a heavier version of the classic Shea Butter Hand Cream, yet moisturizing without being greasy. It has the same soft fragrance as classic shea butter cream and moisturizes well. I do think it’s a bit rich, but definitely not greasy and perfect for nighttime use.
It’s not a lightweight product by any means, so it’s not exactly suitable for on-the-go use. It doesn’t feel greasy or smooth on hands (you can break it off completely after application if you want), but it does take a few minutes to really sink into the skin. Once applied, it retains moisture for hours and leaves skin feeling comfortable without the need to reapply immediately after hand washing.
what do you think? Tried these products/do you have a L’Occitane favorite?
